Biography
I completed a psychology degree in 2005 after obtaing a 2.1 classification. Upon completing my degree, I decided to pursue a career in law.
I did my training contract with Hibberts and after qualification wasa offered a place with them as an Assistant Solicitor.
I have developed a keen interest in advising elderly clients about the numerous problems and issues which can arise when a person requires assistance or care.
Experience
Every year ,as people live longer, more of them and their families have to confront the issue of managing their affairs. The starting point in all such cases should be to make a will and where possible a lasting power of attorney . This will mean that if they are unable to look after their affairs or even worse become legally mentally incompent their affairs are in order. This is far better in most cases than being forced to use the Court of Protection. which is the only option for those who are mentally unable to make a will or lasting power.
Another problem that many now have to confront is dealing with the issues that arise if one has to go into a retirment or nursing home. These fall into two cateogries. The first relates to paying the fees and trying to preserve the family assets. The second relates to those occasions when a problem arises in the home regarding the care and treatment of patients
I can help in all these areas. I can assist in taking the best steps to plan for retirement with a will and lasting power. I can also help with nursing and retirement issues. I enjoy meeting with Clients in their homes or in their nursing home. I am dedicated to providing a cost efficient but caring service to my clients
Feel free to contact me for a chat about your issues to see if I can help
