Biography
As one of the Challinors team, I am down-to-earth and here to help. At Challinors we support our clients, listen to their needs, understand and solve their problems, whilst communicating at every stage and keeping those all important costs down.
I joined Challinors in 2004.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, playing squash, listening to music, in addition to cooking.
Experience
As Partner and Head of Employment at Challinors, I'm very approachable and specialise exclusively in Employment Law. I advise employers and employees on all aspects of employment and HR issues, including redundancy, dismissal and disciplinary matters, discrimination, drafting service agreements and Compromise Agreements and pensions matters.
I have substantial experience in employment litigation having appeared in Employment Tribunals throughout the UK and before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and acted in some high profile and high value cases.
I am a trustee director of Sandwell Citizens Advice Bureaux, Policy Advisor to the Black Country branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and was recently appointed to the Employment Law Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales, which works to comment on and identify emerging issues in employment law.
I am a member of the Challinors team, which is dedicated to supporting companies, in particular SME's, providing them with direct access to the firm’s range of legal services for businesses. We are able to support organisations with debt management, fraud and asset recovery, litigation, dispute resolution and mediation, professional negligence, commercial property matters including leasing, rents, sales, purchase and development projects, corporate governance rules, health & safety and environmental issues through to business development grants. It sees me working alongside Malford Harris, a Partner and head of the firm’s corporate team, and Peter Lowe, Partner in charge of the litigation/dispute resolution team.
