Biography
Stephen is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association
Married with two daughters, Stephen is part of the leadership team at Duke Street Chapel, Sutton Coldfield and the Secretary of Partners in Service, the UK representative charity of the Delhi Bible Institute, India. Stephen enjoys middle distance running, reading and the occasional game of chess
Experience
•Stephen is head of our Employment department, which attracts high-profile commercial and voluntary sector clients. Examples of recent experience includes: investigating board member and senior employee grievances; advising two charities on high-value pensions disputes with directors; advising two senior managers of a housing association forced to take early retirement, which resulted in significant settlements of their age discrimination claims; and advising various senior employees/directors in dispute with their employers, pre- and post-transfer of businesses
•His work involves advising on a wide range of employment matters, including employment contracts, personnel policies and procedures, staff restructuring, transfers of undertakings (TUPE) and disciplinary and grievance issues
