Biography
I joined Bell Lax on qualification in 1998 and later became the Partner in charge of a busy Personal Injury Department. I now supervise the Personal Injury team as well having my own cases.
I came to law after a career as a Firefighter with the West Yorkshire Fire and Civil Defence Authority. Not coming from a stuffy legal background I offer a sympathetic service and clear advice to my clients.
I have a particular interest in accidents at work and have helped people in a range of accidents from simple slips to people who have suffered spinal injuries falling from scaffolding.
A keen cyclist, I enjoy helping cyclists who have been injured by negligent drivers. I took on a particularly memorable case of a 77 year old lady who did not remember anything about the accident at all. She won and even managed to return to cycling.

I act mainly for claimants but I have acted for insurers so you could say I am a poacher turned gamekeeper. I know the tactics used by insurers so I can get the best results for my clients.
I have also won cases for people injured because of clinical negligence, defective products, accidents abroad and undertaking sporting pastimes such as trampolining.
