Biography
Employment law is an ever changing and uncertain area of law. We can help both employees and employers to work their way through the maze of legislation and case law. James and his team can assist employers and employees prior to a formal dispute arising, advise on the correct procedures to be followed and, if matters cannot be resolved informally, we can represent you at an Employment Tribunal or in the Courts. Our services are tailored to the needs of our individual clients and we are happy to discuss those with you and offer a free initial meeting where we will assess your specific needs.
Experience
James and his team are able to draft contracts of employment, grievance and disciplinary procedures, employee handbooks and compromise agreements. We can advise on the appropriate procedures to be adopted should a redundancy situation or other dismissal of employees arise. We can advise on the best methods of handling disciplinary and grievance procedures, including drafting the letters you will need to send to employees at each stage of the procedure.
If matters cannot be resolved then you may be pursued in an Employment Tribunal or the Court. We can represent you for claims for unfair or wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, allegations of discrimination or breach of statutory rights. We can also assist you in recovering any losses you incur as a result of an employee's breach of contract which often occurs when an employee or ex-employee breach the restrictive covenants in their contract of employment.
